on deck 06

The Montana Skatepark Association  is hosting their 6th annual ON DECK skate art auction on May 21 at The Brink Gallery in Missoula. I finished and turned in my skate deck last week, only a day late instead of the 2 weeks late like I've done in the past - ha!
Rollergirls was my theme this year, image that!
I'm proud to be one of the selected and happy to be able to help raise money for the skateparks in Montana. Watch for this year's skateboards to be uploaded online and come see the show at the Brink.

6th Annual Skate Deck Art Auction

Opening / Reception: May 6 (5-8 pm)
Auction: May 21 (5pm – ?)
The Brink Gallery
111 W. Front St. – Missoula, MT

Ross Peterson gracing me with one of his clasic powder turns...
Kevin Scott finding fun on little places

My fantastic friend, visual artist and educator Eileen Rafferty has just published the first edition of Butterflies and Anvils, a quarterly photographic journal filled with inspiration and art.  She features an artist every time. This time, it's the wonderful Elizabeth Stone, another fantastic friend, visual artist and educator. The journal is available through Magcloud and you can purchase it through this link: http://www.magcloud.com/browse/Issue/168106.

It was just a thought in her mind.... now it's real.

crosscountry skiing in Montana

"There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you.... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself."
- Ruth Stout
